This week’s newscast covered mainly local and national news. However, because of environmental crises in New Zealand and riots in Egypt, the first part of the newscast took a slightly more international focus. The newscast led with the Occupy Wall Street story from both a local and national angle, as this is a story currently gripping people everywhere. Other stories include exposes on the Dream Act, gas prices, the student-run radio station, and a new study on Facebook and alcohol.

This week’s District Wire News broke the story of the Amanda Knox verdict from her murder trial in Italy. The Occupy Wall Street protests made their way into DC as one of our reports explores the efforts so far. And a favorite beverage on the college campus is revamping its look, and its ingredients, we take a look inside to see just what changes are being made and if students are going to notice.
